WYR be a lost Fae princess thrown into the mortal world never knowing family, nor the true meaning of being loved, never knowing their was such a thing as magic and then thrown into the Fae world; meaning you have to catch up with learning magic and knowledge from scratch OR to grow up in the magic world knowing and being handed everything but have no special/unique ability, unless always finding yourself in strife is one.

I guess my answer is OBVIOUSLY gonna be the first option ’cause ALMOST EVERY book I have read, the protagonist ALMOST ALWAYS has a past where they or their parents are thrown out of their world because of some heinous crime or because they themselves came for hiding from something sinister in that world. And then some supporter or a kidnapper comes to steal the kid who is probably the king or queen whatev…
so my point is maybe I won’t get all those luxuries but at least I won’t be totally immature or anything and I will catch up soon and won’t be totally useless… (u get what I mean?)
So I don’t know if you have read The Cruel Prince by Holly Black but the protagonist sort of has the same situation and then there is Wolf Girl by Leia Stone.

Yeah the catching up part and not being useless would be HARD but I’m with you on this. I imagine you’d be a bit entitled and expect everything to be handed to you in the other option…so I’d choose the same option as you. You’d be a lot more resilient I suppose having it super rough and it’d def curb your character and form a stronger you. Hey look at me actually making a decision 😂😂😂 usually I don’t lols 🤣
Oh yes I’ve read that! And it also matches in theme with Crimes of Fire by JN Colon. I just finished that series 😊 it’s a FANTASTIC read btw!!! Speaking of Wolf Girl tho did you hear new release date is the 30th of this month! Eeek! I’m so excited and nervous lol 😆
