So, the first thing you might’ve noticed is the overabundance of stars for this book, right? You didn’t miss that did you? I’ve never done this before, so this is honestly saying something about this book! It owns my heart completely. And totally deserves all these stars. It was just all things perfect. And was ended to absolute perfection!

The second thing you should know is that this is, more than likely, gonna be one hella ramble ahead. So warning for that lol.

I have no flippin’ clue where to go from here, with this crazy phenomenal read! Like for reals. I don’t know whether to be happy to have all the answers or sad to see it all come to a close…no matter how insanely good it was! Man, I’m in the biggest bookish hangover. Ev-er. I may have eaten my feelings in a pretty large bowl of ice-cream last night. But sadly, I don’t think there’s enough ice-cream and chocolate in the world to fix this. So this ↓ is currently going to be me until I work out a new method.

Heads up, I will seriously disown you as a friend if you don’t like this series. What?! It’s a normal book nerd thing to do. I’m just that attached and obsessed with it, that no excuse will let me forget if you don’t like these books lol…sorry….but if you don’t….

I’ll have you know, I messaged a friend to confirm if it was a reasonable thing to tell someone. Under #Askingforafriend obvi lol…and her response was “Hell to the yeah!” So, see? I’m not the only one.🤷🏻‍♀️😆

But having said this, I am utterly convinced that if you love angsty, heart-pounding, Fae paranormal prison reads…you will love this story…that I’m willing to say that if you don’t like it…I’ll eat a food I hate…so that’s a wide range but let’s go with eating a mushroom. ewwwww. But I really doubt I’ll have to do it. Soo…

This story has it all. It covers everything I love seeing in books. Characters that will stay with you forever, friendships that become #goals, killer plot (and I mean killer plot), heart-melting moments, a love story that’s walked the hard paths and survives, finding yourself and so so much more.

Lol my brain took a really long pause between here and the last paragraph…and I went to apologise for taking so long. 😂🤦🏻‍♀️…then I was like, ‘you do know you aren’t live right?’ – and yep now I’ve resorted to talking to myself. This is what Jena does to me.

Anywho, moving on. I’m just still so caught up in this book. And if I was a crier, I might have to resort to blaming the rain like Gabriel lol. Gah, I can’t believe it’s come to a close. So, so good. #booknerdstruggles #amiright

But in all seriousness, this book is so raw, unique and powerful, that you can’t help but feel all the feels. Half the time my heart was in my throat. Because Jena knows just how to make us feel everything. She’s a master at that. And the rest of the time, I felt like I was sitting on the edge of my seat, trying to prepare for everything and anything to happen. And oh boy, did she send me into a loop-de-loop. Seriously, I did not expect all that to happen…and was certainly not prepared for that thing, that I can’t mention. Coz that’s one hella of a spoiler. But well done for catching me totally off guard! That’s a hard thing to do! Never even considered that as a possibility. What a twist. Flamin’ heck. I loved it.

Talk about a mic drop moment. Does it still count if the story continues after that point? I’m not really sure lol…but whatevs, I still gotta give you your moment. So here ya go. 😁😉

I can’t say this enough but this was so fantabulous! There isn’t a moment where I wasn’t 1000000% invested or sucked in so deep….so deep I couldn’t have escaped even if I had wanted (which is an insane thing to want!). It’s the kind of story that you will demand to have control over your bladder…because you won’t want to stop reading for any reason; not until you’ve consumed every last drop of it. That ↓ was my inner self meditating. 😂 Albeit, I’m not sure how I was multi-tasking, whilst being wholly transported into this world. But I somehow did lol. I must be more talented than I thought. 😆🤷🏻‍♀️

All I know is that when I resurfaced, I was busting and hours had passed. And I wondered if Maurice was back at playing with Cogsworth’s clock time. So be prepared for that to be you too. Just sayin’.

I should probably give some sort of summary right? I suppose so. But if you haven’t read books 1-3 I’d stop reading my ramble fest. Otherwise, you’ll definitely come across some spoilers for those books. I know I’m clever but not that clever. Not to toot my own horn or anything lol.

Okay, okay…this book is crazy intense. You thought the others were? Let’s just turn that dial up a lot more. Coz it’s about to get hot up in here. Good thing I like the heat. I just like to chill in it. Haha the irony of that. 😆

Isadora now knows that Sloane is no longer under her thumb and won’t be controlled any longer. With Jilly and Kaden now safe from her touch. Isadora is waaay past dipping into insane water; she’s now totally drenched in the stuff…and is definitely out for blood. She’s out to make them suffer in the worst ways…which means she rips Sloane and Vik apart (which is bad enough in itself…but their bond is sooo not gonna be okay with that! And ME EITHER…I. Was. Not. Okay).

Sloane’s life is now thrown into a new hell. A medieval one. Her new prison – is hella creepy and vicious. Thanks for painting that cell block image so nicely in my head missy. You are evil and you know why *stares pointedly at* you know what you did, and with me in mind as well lol. Don’t act all coy lol. You lucky me loves you.

Back to the prison talk. So yes. Sloane is now in a new prison. Split up from the other part of her soul. Give me a moment. I need a tearful gif because that seriously hurt my heart.

Can you guess the place she was sent? Yeah. Not good. And to make it worse…this time she’s all on her own. No Unseelie Prince to keep her out of trouble. And we know how good she is at finding that. With this new sentence, things aren’t looking great…her days are looking very numbered. Between the inmates, enemies surfacing everywhere and the cruel, heartless guards…it seems like an impossible situation to survive. Let alone escape.

But never underestimate our girls will to survive against all the odds…and to find a way to get back to her people. She’s determined to find an escape, from a place that’s supposedly inescapable. Just watch her. Because it’s a theme of her life.

Whilst in this prison…secrets start to unravel…and the webs that have been weaved in the dark, slowly rise to the surface. Secrets that will literally rock the very core of their world. And change its course. Sloane and Viktor have a path to walk, a very dangerous one. One that could change the fate of the Fae world. And finally set it on the right path, without any more deception that’s plaguing their world. Neither Viktor nor Sloane can ignore their fates any longer. It’s time for them to fight with everything they have and take down the queen once and for all.

A battle is looming on the horizon. And it’s time for them to fight for their lives, their loved ones and remove the evil in their world. Piece of cake right? Maybe not quite. I’m with this ↓ dude

Here’s a small snippet for you guys…that fit’s really nicely here.

They had no idea what was coming.
But how far was I willing to go to take back everything they’d stolen from us and destroy them for good? Would I have to become the seelie-dae monster everyone feared?

I’ve probably spoken enough about the plot. It’s really hard not to spill anything spoilerish. But there was so much that I loved about this story. I loved being surprised and loved that I began liking characters that I never imagined I’d like…but there’s still one, I forgave but still don’t like, this someone felt redeemed but that was all.

So yes, this is a story you all need to read. There’s so much more to it than even the amazing plot. I really loved the story underneath too. The one that showed healing as an individual and together. And how they all grew throughout this story. They didn’t allow what they went through to change a fundamental part of themselves. To change the goodness and light inside them. No matter the forces that were against them. They grew through all that pain and came out the other end and found exactly who they were and that was survivors…warriors.

I’d always considered myself a survivor, but maybe I hadn’t given myself enough credit. Maybe I was a warrior.

This story has everything and truly touched my heart in many ways. Just the way everything was wrapped up…It was exactly how I needed to see it end. They all got the ending they deserved and were finally surrounded by the love, that had always been missing in their lives before…Even if I’m still waiting for Vik’s part 😉 (you know I won’t stop, don’t you lol? 😆)…

So Jena thank you, thank you for this fan-flippin-tastic series! You took me through all the feels and I loved every moment of this crazy, heart-pounding, wild journey. It has truly helped me escape a lot in reality. It was everything I needed. I’m truly in love and obsessed so much with these books! They left me breathless and sorta thinking I should probably work-out more, and by that I mean…read more. 😆 Any excuse right?! But again thank you for this amazing, incredible journey. So much respect. Your mind is a brilliant yet scary place lol. Love ya. 💜

If you are after a world that will have you obsessing crazily about it…or a story that you’ll never forget. This is that one. Lovers of the Elite Supernatural Trackers by Heather Renee and Sarah J Maas fans…will gobble this story up.

Now go and throw away all your thoughts, of potential ways this story will go…because it follows no script. So don’t even bother trying…just throw all that out the window and enjoy the torturous, brillantness that it is.

So get your snacks ready, coz ya gonna need them. Have everything prepared because you aren’t going to want to move. Trust me. You’ll be hooked. So write that date into your calendar and make it happen. Hide wherever you have to.
